MQDC joins 'Essence of Thainess' Festival in Shanghai

18-22 April 2019, Shanghai - MQDC exhibited at the 'Essence of Thainess' Cultural & Shopping Festival in Capitaland Lu One Plaza.
Ms. Anna from Xinjue China gave a presentation on 3 MQDC condominium projects: The Strand Thonglor, Whizdom Asoke-Sukhumvit, and The Forestias.

MQDC staff handed out leaflets to the many visitors to the booth seeking information on the property developments.

Ms. Sasirit Tangulrat, Consul-General of Royal Thai Consulate General Shanghai, visited the MQDC booth on the afternoon of 18 April. Chinese buyers are increasingly keen on Thai real estate, according to the online portal Juwai.com.

Thailand was the most popular country for inquiries from potential buyers in 2018, up from sixth place in 2016. Thailand also ranked fourth for Chinese overseas property investment in 2018, with an investment of $2.3 billion, according to Juwai.

Buyers in China are drawn by investment opportunities, as Thai property prices have doubled over the last decade.

Bangkok further offers lifestyle amenities such as affordable English-language education. MQDC projects, for example, are close to well-known international schools such as the Anglo Singapore International School, Wells International School, and Shrewsbury International School.

Chinese buyers also seek holiday and retirement homes in Thailand, which is an established hotspot for tourists from China.
