RISC hosts RISC Talk vol.2/2019: Upcycling materials for well-being

30 August 2019, Bangkok - Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC) together with the Innovation Technology Assistance Program (ITAP) of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) organized RISC Talk vol.2/2019 under the topic 'Upcycling materials for well-being' at RISC.
K Phongsathorn La-Iad-On, a product design and development specialist from ITAP, spoke in the morning
session on 'Sustainable Business'. His lecture covered product values for humans and the environment
including the development of eco-products and services.

K Tiptaptim Bhumibhanit, RISC Senior Sustainable Designer, spoke in the afternoon on 'Material Design for
Well-being', sharing knowledge on upcycling waste into building materials.

The talk also provided ITAP information on funding, investment, and assistance for people interested in
developing their own ideas for eco-products.

The RISC Talk attracted great interest and participation. About 140 people registered within 3 days and there
were also walk-in attendees. About 45% of the audience brought their own water bottle, the highest
ercentage so far for a RISC talk.
