Nowadays, tourism as we know it is straightforward; we always go to the destination, rent a hotel nearby or stay in the area overnight. However, doing this might have some limitations. Plus, building a new hotel may partially destroy the environment. In the future when traveling, you may not need to book a hotel, you may not have to leave the hotel to have fun, or you may not have to travel far at all, because you may be able to create your own virtual destination!

Going on a camping trip will no longer be the same. People will be able to set up a high-quality suite in any area they wish without affecting the environment there. This isn't just a dream, as Spanish design firm Intenta has designed a hotel that can be placed anywhere in the world without affecting the environment. So you can go and relax anywhere comfortably without destroying nature. This project has designed 8 types of portable hotels like this so far.

Themed hotels

These hotels have the same story running throughout the area. Those themes may be related to the building or the area, making the stay there an adventure with little to no need to leave. It invites residents to take an emotional journey through its story. Many of you may have heard of such hotels hidden away in places like the Pelirocco in Brighton, England, a Star Wars-themed hotel, or the Pineapple Hotel in the Dominican Republic, a Spongebob-themed hotel that will create a new service experience.

Create the space you want in the metaverse

In the future, we may not need to travel far to get experiences thanks to the metaverse. We will be able to create whatever space we want and travel to the land of our dreams. Plus, in this universe you can dress up and be whoever you want to be. Virtual areas like this have been built for various activities through the platforms of the gaming giant Roblox. A gaming concert for famous rapper Lil Nas X has been attended 37 million times.

The future of tourism and experiences in life will change. Everything will be more fun. The boundaries will be broader. And the impact that human enjoyment has on nature will be reduced.
